A helping hand
Dependence in any of its manifestations is an obstacle to the growth and self-realization of each of us. However, there are also extreme manifestations of it in the form of alcohol, drug or gambling addiction (be it card games or casinos).
When faced with these forms of addiction, its impact on the life of the patient and his loved ones is not immediately noticeable. There are also situations when the patients themselves, until the last moments of their lives, being in a narcotic (so we will call it both alcohol and gaming) addiction, want to take another dose, having received an instant "high".
Why is there a problem with addictions to harmful substances and habits in our society today?
"The fault lies with the patient himself, no one forced him.", those around him will immediately declare. And this is partly true, because the individual chooses his own future. The desire to be part of an interest group, the influence of "authoritative" addicts, and after the first dose - an imaginary, instant "high", a departure from the reality full of problems, the lack of state assistance in solving the primary needs of a person and many other sometimes not far-fetched reasons. In the first stages of addiction, it is difficult even for relatives to catch the moment that their loved one has become a patient and needs help.
Awareness of this fact often occurs after obvious facts such as problems with the health of an addict, theft of things from home, other problems with the law. Of course, the earlier the patient goes to the rehabilitation center, the more effective his rehabilitation will be. As mentioned above, the public sector of health care does not solve its tasks effectively enough, and, accordingly, rehabilitation should be done in a private center, where a person is helped to cope with his addiction, starting with medication measures, as well as psychological assistance and assistance in resocialization.
The "Helping Hand" rehabilitation center guarantees the patient's full rehabilitation and resocialization. During the years of work, a set of measures contributing to effective restoration was developed.
Aid is not only aimed at addicts. Relatives also need support. After all, the rehabilitation process is not easy and we help loved ones to keep calm. Our psychologists actively work with them, find the right words to go through this difficult path of rehabilitation together.
Measures aimed at the rehabilitation of drug addicts consist of counseling by psychologists, provision of occupational therapy, sports activities, as well as recreation in the fresh air.
